What Does the Job Entail?

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following skills and qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with access to reliable transportation

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience running HVAC installation crews of 2-20 installers

  • Availability to work overtime, nights, and weekends as needed

  • Willingness to work locally, as well as in other areas of southern California

  • Positive attitude and commitment to company values

  • Organized, efficient, and capable of applying attention-to-detail

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and willingness to take initiative

  • Knowledge of duct configurations and airflow impact

  • Experience with sheet metal and flexible duct systems

  • Strong understanding of submittal and construction documents

  • Capable of comprehending equipment installation and operations manuals

  • Capable of comprehending construction blueprints

  • Capable of safely operating a scissor lift and a variety of hand tools

  • Competent in email and basic computer software programs

  • Currently possess/demonstrate a willingness to invest in tools for mechanical system installation

  • Must be able to safely lift up to 50lb and have no hindrance to the following: pushing, pulling, reaching overhead, kneeling, crouching, stooping, crawling, climbing, and balancing on either ladders or scaffolds

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for overall safety and workflow efficiency on the construction site

  • Maintenance of safe working environment including collection and distribution of company-issued safety materials, regular surveys of job site safety, and regular site safety meetings

  • Ensure timely completion of all phases of installation in order to keep with the set job schedule

  • Receive and report physical inventory of shipments directly to purchaser

  • Maintain inventory of all materials and tools on job site

  • Verify that materials and equipment for scheduled tasks are available at time of installation

  • Coordinate installation with other trades

  • Ensure that the project is adequately staffed and create schedules for installers

  • Coordinate daily tasks, supervise and work alongside installers, and monitor performance

  • Ensure quality standards are met or exceeded

  • Effectively manage project budget, including materials costs, labor, and rental equipment

  • Complete daily documentation, including timesheets, work orders, reports, and correspondence

  • Act as liaison between installers and supervisors

  • Train and assess installers in safety matters, procedures, and equipment operation
